Best cakes from my 2018 brides
I want my blog to be more than just canned information from a wedding photographer. I want it to be a source of ideas for future brides. So I thought that, in order to give you inspiration, I would like to show you what my brides did with their wedding day, in case you are thinking about doing something similar, or want to hire the same vendor. Here are my 2017 best cakes and where they came from!
Couple: Aldijana and Mike - Baker: The Cake Lady. Sioux Falls, South dakota
I can’t start telling you how amazing those tartelettes were. The Cake Lady gets feature a lot in this blog post, but this one was, by far, the most delicious of all of the cakes in this list.
Couple: Maggie and Nick - Baker: Family members
Maggie and Nick had an incredible wedding at a public park in Iowa. Their family made almost everything for this wedding, but what called my attention he most was the original idea of having pies instead of cake. They were gorgeous and delicious!
Couple: Baillie and Max - Baker: Bearscat Bakehouse. Bismark, North Dakota
Donuts!! Baillie told me a lot of details of her day, but for some reason she never mentioned that her entire wedding was going to be covered with donuts! Even their cake was a giant frosted donut! I chased their baker, Bearscat Bakehouse all the way to North Dakota, and guess what? They will deliver here in Sioux Falls and Pierre for your wedding! Definitely go check them out if you want to do something different!
Couple: Krista and Taylor - Baker: The Cake Lady. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
The cake Lady gets another shout out for these incredible cupcakes that were to die for.
Couple: Kristin and Adam - Baker: Brandy’s Custom Cakery. Parker, South Dakota
Kristin’s cake was both delicious and gorgeous. An incredible naked cake topped with fresh fruits created and designed by Brandy’s Custom Cakery out of Parker, South Dakota.
Couple: Morgan and Eric - Baker: The Cake Lady. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
OK, I know The Cake Lady is a lot in this article, but her designs are totally worth it. Morgan’s cake might have been the most gorgeous cake I have ever photographed, and yes, those flowers are real. 😉
